Children in Calais to be reunited with families faster.

Safe Passage UK has been campaigning for the British government to do far more to reunite unaccompanied minors in France and beyond with their relatives in the UK. Originally they had agreed to take hundreds of children under the Dubs amendment but the scheme was shut down early after little more than 200 children had arrived.

The new agreement between France and the UK promises to make it easier and quicker for unaccompanied minors to be safely relocated to family in the UK, reducing waiting times from over six months to five weeks.
