120 Refugee Organisations sign letter of complaint re AIRE

Representatives of 120 UK organisations working to welcome, support and advocate for people in the asylum system have signed a letter to the Home Office, raising questions about severe failures in the new Advice, Issue Reporting and Eligibility Assistance (AIRE) contract, which is being delivered by Migrant Help.

The letter highlights how those in asylum accommodation are unable to get through to the Helpline, and how the AIRE service, which is supposed to be a single point of contact for advice and housing issues, independent from the accommodation providers and the Home Office, is preventing serious faults from being properly dealt with.

The story was covered in full by the Independent Newspaper. You can find it here
